Nitrous kits have a large amount of uses. You can hook it up to your radiator, intercooler, or a multitude of ways to shot nitrous into the manifold. Anyway you look at it, you will make more power with one. The standard kit for 4 cylinder engines adds about 50 - 75 HP.
Installation of these kits, takes a couple hours, and novice users can do the install as well. Wet nitrous kits mix fuel and nitrous together for a much safer spray. There have been some issues with using nitrous on dry flow intakes. They do not evenly flow into the manifold, and give rich points in the combustion chamber. Rich points are where one cylinder has more nitrous in the other cylinder and the power isn't even distributed through out the engine block. Wet flow intake pipes will correct that issue. Wet nitrous kits generally produce better results than dry nitrous kits.
Thanks to pre assembled kits from the factory, many of the older issues with using nitrous have been cleared up. Nitrous kits offer users much greater benefits than other forms of after market power. Turbocharger's cost thousands, N/A builds cost thousands, nitrous kits cost hundreds. At the end of the day, they all make the car go the same speed. The racing scene has been using nitrous kits since the early 70's, mabey even the 60's.
