Mercedes Benz owners have been looking for the best bang for buck when it comes to making power. Learning from the use of others, dry nitrous kits have proven over and over again to offer users that extra jump in power they have been looking for. It gives them that extra bang without completely altering the whole way the engine runs.
Dry nitrous kits are more on the less used side. Many are not properly informed on how to actually use a dry nitrous kit. Nitrous is an often used as an abbreviation for the nitrous oxide, also called NOS. The term NOS comes from the initials of the company name Nitrous Oxide Systems, one of the pioneering companies in the development of nitrous oxide injection kits for automotive performance use.

Dry nitrous kits are easy to install and can come ready to install out of the box. Since they are a direct bolt on, most anyone with a little skill can install these. There are two main categories of nitrous kits: dry kits & wet kits. A dry nitrous kit shoots nitrous only into the air intake pipe. There are 4 main sub types of dry kits: single point, direct port, plate, and plenum bar all of which are just slightly different ways of discharging nitrous into the plenum of the intake.
These kits provide a great advantage over most other drivers now a days. Those using other alternative ways to make power end up spending thousands of dollars to accomplish what a single shot of nitrous can do. These kits range from a few hundred bucks to 1000 bucks. The can be easily concealed, having nitrous bottles the size of a 20 ounce coke bottle, can give you 10 shots in one filing.
