Fuel pressure gauges are much over looked when using nitrous kits. The gas pressure in your gas rail is very important when using certain systems. These systems need their fuels system monitored at all times for the most efficient tuning, and productivity.
- Gauges help protect your engine with nitrous kits
- Gauges keep you informed with nitrous kits
- Gauges alert you to an potential problems with nitrous kits
Nitrous kits need gas. Most of the time if your are tuning your nitrous kits A/F ratio you are going to have to change your fuels pressure. This is done with AFPG. But you also have to monitor the amount of pressure in the fuels rail at all times. Nitrous kits like gas, it's what makes them work. Nitrous kits can offer you a lot if different things. One is power, the other is a blown motor. The second one is very rare, but it does happen.
Nitrous kits run the risk of blowing your motor up if its not managed properly. To do this you need some sort of safety system set up. Monitoring your fuels pressure with a gauge is one preventive method. These gauges are relatively cheap, and easy to install. Most can be mounted anywhere, some of them go right on the fuels rail, or filter. But one thing is for sure, you will always know how much pressure your system has in it.
Nitrous kits need the extra pressure. The gas is where they get their bang from, and you always want to have a little more gas than normal stock engines can offer. The obvious reason are simple. It will always be better to run a little rich than lean with gas. If your pressure drops in the rail, you will know right away with a gauge. This is very important part of running nitrous kits. You must always be sure that everything is functioning as it should be. Its always better to know, than to assume things are functioning properly.
