Nissian motor corporation never new their owners would be installing wet nitrous kits onto their cars when developing. Yeah, that's right, these owners know how to make power. Using these wet nitrous kits, they are going a hell of a lot faster down the track each year and year.
Nitrous kits have made a huge change in the way racing has been going down since the 1970's. Using these kits have made great advances on and off the track. Nitrous kits weren't even thought of when Nissian was first being developed.
In 1928, Yoshisuke Aikawa founded the holding company Nippon Sangyo (Japan Industries or Nippon Industries). "The name 'Nissan' originated during the 1930s as an abbreviation used on the Tokyo stock market for Nippon Sangyo. This company was the famous "Zaibatsu" (combine) which included Tobata Casting and Hitachi. At this time had control foundries and auto parts businesses, but Aikawa did not enter automobile manufacturing until 1933.[4]
They would eventually grow to include 74 firms, and to be the fourth-biggest combine in Japan during World War II.[5]
In 1931, Aikawa purchased controlling shares in DAT Motors, and then in 1933 it merged Tobata Casting's automobile parts department with DAT Motors. As Tobata Casting was the same company, this was the beginning of their automobile manufacturing.
It would be hard to believe that this company that originated in the early 1930's would still be alive and prospering today. Well their customers are, and they like to go fast. With the introduction of nitrous kits, it opened many new doors, for street and drag racers. Nitrous kits marked the era of a new development of street racing. Nitrous kits also marked a new era in drag racing as well. Both became competitions and very popular back in the 1970's when nitrous kits were first being introduced.
