Toyota aftermarket enthusists all over the world have been glamored at the introduction of wet nitrous kits, for their cars.  These kits have been throwing them down tracks faster and faster each year.

TRD is the in-house tuning shop for all Toyota, Lexus, and Scion cars. TRD is responsible both for improving street cars for more performance and supporting their racing interests around the world. TRD produces various tuning products and accessories, including performance suspension components, superchargers, and wheels. TRD parts are available through certain dealers, and are also available as accessories on brand-new Scions. Performance parts for Lexus vehicles are now labeled as F-Sport and performance Lexus models are labeled F to distinguish Lexus's F division from TRD. TRD is similar to other in-house tuning shops, such as Mazdaspeed (Mazda), Nismo (Nissan), Ralliart (Mitsubishi), Mugen (Honda), STi (Subaru), Ford Performance Vehicles (Ford Australia), Holden Special Vehicles (Holden), Mercedes' AMG division, BMW "M" models, Audi "RS" models or Volvo R-Design models.

Nitrous kits can increase power by as little as 0.5 hp (0.37 kW) or as much as 3,000 hp (2,200 kW), depending on the engine type and nitrous kits you have installed. All kits are based on a single power kits but these kits can be used in multiples (called 2, 3 or even 4 stage); the most advanced systems are controlled by an electronic progressive delivery unit that allows a single nitrous kit to perform better than multiple nitrous kits can. Most Pro Mod cars and some Pro Street cars use three stages nitrous kits for additional power, but more and more are switching to pulsed progressive technology in the nitrous kits themselves.

A wet single-point nitrous kits introduces the fuel and nitrous together, causing the upper intake to become wet with fuel. . However, most makes of nitrous systems combined with unsuitable intake designs, often result in distribution problems and/or intake back fires. Dry-flow intakes are designed to contain only air, which will travel through smaller pipes and tighter turns with less pressure, whereas wet-flow intakes are designed to contain a mixture of fuel and air. Wet nitrous systems tend to produce more power than dry systems, but in some cases can be more expensive and difficult to install.
